The cost of purchasing a box or panel to make flats is not insurmountable, but the interest in doing so lies in its ability to be made custom and built according to one's own constraints. Adding an LED tape to the box requires some effort. The STL models provided are functional on my TS 80/480 telescope. The exterior diameter of the tube is 104mm. The flat box fits perfectly into the tube. OpenScad script allows users to modify the dimensions of the box. There are three parts to be printed: - The internal part that inserts into the telescope, - The external part that supports the LED tape, - And the cover for transport. The Arduino-powered control of the LED box is optional. You can directly connect the LED strip to a 5V or 12V output, depending on your LED strip's specifications.
