The device is comprised of eight vertical bars that have an equilateral triangle cross-section. To display different information, each bar can be rotated to show one of its three sides. Two characters on each side correspond to the first and second lines of the banner displayed. The letters on the bars are color-coded, created using multi-color printing on a 3D printer. Designing individual models for these bars is labor-intensive. To simplify this process, I developed the DoorLabel program. The prerequisite is having the FreeCad program installed, which is a free software used for creating 3D objects. To use DoorLabel: Download the DoorLabel.zip file and unzip it into the directory where you plan to run the program. Run the DoorLabel.exe program, which has three tabs with all its functionalities. On the first tab, enter three double-line texts, each containing a maximum of eight characters. The second tab displays how the texts will appear on the bars. On the third tab, specify the directory for creating 3D models in STL format and choose a name for the generated objects. Press the "generate macro" button to start the process. Once the macro is generated, a table describing the next steps appears. You can exit the program at this point. The subsequent procedure involves running FreeCad and selecting the directory where the macro was created. For each of the eight bars, the macro generates three models: A) an empty bar with space for letters, B) individual letter models, C) a complete bar model in FCStd format (these files are only used for manual shape corrections). The output directory contains STL models for individual bars and other components (Rear, Cover, Rackteeth). Use these models as input for your 3D printing slicer program to print the bars in multi-color mode.
