Variable Car
thingiverse
This is the supporting files for the Learning Blade Car Mission. This derby car is designed to help students test dependent variables while calculating the car's velocity (v+d/t). Three independent variables can be tested by students, as explained below. Instructions Additional Equipment Needed: * 4 small finishing nails per car (to attach wheels to the car body) * 1/4" or 3/8" washers (for weight placement variable) * A ramp at least 1 meter long To set up the car, use the nails as axles to attach the wheels to the Variable Car Body. The base car has 4 x 1.5" wheels and no weights. Print files allow students to test how the car's velocity changes when one of the independent variables is changed. Two variables can be modified on the Variable Car: wheel size and weight of the car. Print Settings Notes: * For best results, print the Variable Car Body at 5-10% infill with 2 shells. * Print the Weight Posts at 20-30% infill with 2 shells.
