If you can't find the monster you need, why not make it yourself? And so I did! This marks my very first try at creating a miniature monster for D&D, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I spent an extensive amount of time looking at pictures of bats before deciding to mix features from both vampire bats and fruit bats. The Vargheist is in my opinion a fantastic monster that fits perfectly into D&D scenarios involving vampires.
