Vardo Caravan
cults3d
This is my take on a small scale Vardo Caravan, scaled down to approximately 1:48 (1/4). I've designed it with the goal of scaling up to about 1:12th in mind. There are several configurations available. The door can be printed as a standalone piece or integrated into the Wagon Base-Door-stove assembly. If you choose to print it separately, you can use a 0.5mm wire or pin for the hinge. However, if you opt to have it printed in place, be extremely careful and slow when working the hinge to avoid breaking it, as it's only 0.4mm thick at this scale but still functional. The same principle applies to the shaft set. The rear sub-frame can be printed in one piece or two separate parts, allowing for some swivel movement with the rear wheels. This Vardo Caravan doubles as a puzzle box - lifting the smoke stack allows the roof to slide open. Everything fits together smoothly, requiring no glue (except for the stove if you choose to print it separately). 22/03/18 Update: I've re-oriented all parts to optimal print positions and moved the options to a separate zip folder, keeping the preferred print setup intact. I've also added a file containing all parts (excluding the base assembly) for those confident enough to print everything at once. J.C.
