Vapers spare box - perfect for the car
prusaprinters
This is another model from my Vapor's World collection. This box takes two 18650 batteries and a 30ml liquid vial. So you have the most important vaper utensils reliably closed always in the car with you. Or in other places, wherever you need them.I myself have a cooled compartment under the armrest in the car, in which I attach the box with some double-sided tape.At the bottom of the three compartments for batteries and vials, small nibs - from old ballpoint pens - are attached in indentations. Batteries and vials are thus pressed against the drawer. No rattling or vibrating while driving. And when you open the drawer, the utensils are pushed out a little to make them easier to grip. DimensionsBox186mm (l) x 89mm (w) x 46/53mm (h) Springsmax. diameter 4.5mm Batterie compartments diameter 19.5mmdepth approx. 65mm (depends on the length of the spring) Vial compartmentdiameter 32mmdepth approx. 86mm (depends on the length of the spring) Printing informationIf you want to use the box in the car, do not use PLA. High temperatures can occur in the car, for which PLA is not suitable. Then use PETG or similar.Layer height: 0.20mmInfill: Support Cubic 20%Brim: yes, for the pinSupport: none Assembly informationInsert a spring into the recesses at the bottom of each of the three compartments. It is best to use tweezers for this. The springs can be taken from old ballpoint pens.Attach the springs by inserting a short piece of filament into the small holes on both sides of the box. Cut one end of the filament diagonally. Make sure that you push the filament through the feathers and to the end. Place the hinge on the box and push the pin all the way through. This may be a little difficult on the first try because the pin has little clearance. Especially if you print the parts with a larger layer height or nozzle like I do. Move and turn the pin several times through the individual holes of the hinge. Then it will work for sure. Check whether the lid can be closed easily - but with a little pressure. The closure also has little clearance, after all, it should not open by itself. If it is too stiff, file something off the closure. Keep in mind that the batteries and the vial will be pressed against the lid by the springs inside. Therefore, be careful and do not take away too much material at once. Finally, glue the handle to the lid with super glue. Give the glue enough time before you use the handle.I am looking forward to your Makes! :-)If you like this model, feel free to check out my others here.
