I fabricated this using PLA unsupported, despite the fact that it demands cooling during the final layers due to its quick pace and close proximity. ABS is likely suitable too. The files feature high, medium, and low resolution models. I created mine from the high resolution one, but lower resolutions could work fine and should be easier for most software to utilize. Usage: Start with a single end of your coil wire dangling downward through the center and curve it over a short segment that emerges. Next, at the peak of the cone spiral, begin coiling the wire onto the spiral groove track while maintaining tension, using one or two fingers from the hand holding the base of this device to keep the previously formed wraps in place. I typically coil until I reach halfway down the cone, yielding a 1ohm resistance coil. Once you've completed coiling, unfold the wire hook and lift everything off the tool. Next, you'll need to pull the middle wire to flip the internal spring-shaped cone outward until it settles into a flat disc of coil instead of retaining its original cone shape. Alternatively, if you desire a cone-shaped outcome, that's also feasible. Subsequently, bend your central and edge wires to feed them into their respective posts; typically there's ample space to fit a screwdriver through the center hole for its post while effortlessly guiding the outer post. For crafting a wick, consider cutting a long thin cotton strip and feeding it into the spiral groove track, manipulating it with tweezers until your wick is evenly distributed throughout the coil. Give the wire some pressure to straighten out any potential wrinkles. You're then ready to go. Be sure to install the housing in such a manner that the outer casing doesn't collide with either the coil or wick, resulting in a notably greater height compared to standard coil construction near the bottom of your posts. However, upon proper functioning, users can enjoy unobstructed sightlines through the mouthpiece directly onto a consistently even and thoroughly heating surface beneath it - perfectly adaptable for numerous flavors, juices laced with herbs, or dry herb consumption, amongst others. Creating this turned out to be somewhat unexplored territory in my DIY experimentation, yet employing such an ingenious wrapping device offered an unmistakable advantage.
