Vanquish VS4-10 Large Spur Gear Cover (VFD)

This is a massive spur gear cover designed specifically for the Vanquish VS4-10 Pro with its VFD transmission. It has ample space to house a much larger spur than the stock cover, which currently features a 56T spur gear. I firmly believe this cover can fit up to a 66T spur, but I have only been able to confirm that it will accommodate a 64T spur. The design was created with the "volt-up, gear-down" mantra in mind. Due to the spur being divorced, gearing down is incredibly easy, as there are no driveshafts or other components in the way. While I initially thought 5-6S may be possible, I have settled on using a 4S setup and have only taken advantage of half of the available space. I am currently running a 60T pinion and a 14T pinion, which provide a relatively normal wheel speed suitable for crawling and more demanding terrain, but if desired, you can achieve extremely low speeds. Kimbrough and RC4WD offer larger spur gears that fit the VS4-10 Pro; simply look for the 3-bolt Axial bolt pattern (AX10, Wraith, etc.). One potential modification required is extending the motor plate's slotted holes, which may need to be increased depending on the spur and pinion size. I accomplish this by drilling a hole and carefully pulling the bit into the material - please do not attempt this at home. To use a 64T spur and 9T pinion, each slot needed to be extended by approximately 1.5mm. This part prints in two pieces, with the first piece being likely smaller than the spur gear. You can compress the rear half of the cover to clear your spur gear (one side at a time) or remove the spur gear and attach the first half of the cover before re-installing it. To secure the two halves of the cover together, you will need two 8mm M2 screws.
