Van's Aircraft RV-12 Rudder Pedal Gust Lock

This is a Rudder Pedal Lock for a Van's Aircraft RV-12. The 3D printed part is a curved "foot" that accepts a 1" (id) Schedule 40 PCV pipe section. The foot goes against the back of the pilot or co-pilot footwell while the PCV pipe goes around the rudder foot pedals. The curve of the printed foot applies tension against the backwall of the footwell when both locks are installed. The PCV pipe section shown is topped with a 90 deg 1" PCV coupler that has 1/3 of the crossing section cut away to fit around the rudder pedals. Lots of lightening holes were drilled in the PVC using a 1/2" step drill. The overall length and tension are adjusted by changing the pipe length that each end attaches to. Start long and trim for a snug fit.
