Van Gogh's Chairs Project
thingiverse
This is an engaging third-grade art project focused on Vincent van Gogh's unique artistic style. Students delve into a thought-provoking discussion about Van Gogh's chair paintings, specifically examining "Vincent's Chair with His Pipe" and Gauguin's Armchair. Building on this knowledge, students then create their own personalized chairs using 3D printed frames as the foundation for their designs. Once crafted, these one-of-a-kind chairs are meticulously painted to bring them to life. http://www.vggallery.com/painting/p_0498_0499.htm The model chair is a collaborative effort between artists, with its design inspired by "Chair" created by zephirus. To make the model more accessible for printing, I simplified its design and split it into two parts that can be printed without support. The two sections are carefully connected, ensuring a large surface area in contact to provide stability and strength, allowing children to handle their clay creations with confidence. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1263095
