This is a fully functional Van de Graaff Generator made with a laser cutter. This machine can generate sparks up to 20 centimeters long. Parts needed to cut in acrylic 5mm: - Two Lato1 units - Two Lato2nospazzole units - Two Lato2spazzole units - One Spazzola_sopra unit - One Spazzolavader unit - Two Supsfera units - Eight Distanziali units Parts needed to cut in plywood 6mm: - One Base4vader unit - One Base3vader unit - Two Base2vader units - One Base1vader unit Parts needed to cut in plywood 4mm: - One Base3vader unit - One Coperchio_sopra unit Lathe pieces: - One PVC pulley, 100x40mm in diameter, with a barrel shape (top pulley) - One Nylon pulley, 100x40mm in diameter, with a barrel shape (bottom pulley) Other parts needed: - Four FL08 bearings - One natural rubber belt, 900X90mm in size, cut with a V-shape and glued with contact adhesive - One fan motor like this: https://goo.gl/sp8T7X - Two 40 Pins Male Single Row Header Strip units - Two IKEA 36cm BLANDA blanks (http://www.ikea.com/it/it/catalog/products/00057256/) - Four M8 rubber feet - One 175mm M8 threaded bar - One 150mm M8 threaded bar Fasteners needed: - Thirty-six M3x16mm screws for acrylic joints - Eight M5x16mm screws for bearings - Four M5x30mm screws for brush supports - Four M3x25mm screws for sphere supports - Four M6x40mm screws for base unions - Two M4x20mm screws for motor supports - One M6x25mm screw for ground points - Fifty millimeter rubber pipe with an internal hole of 5 millimeters - Two hose clamps Also needed: nuts, washers, and wire. A fan has been added to cool the motor when it operates for long periods.
