Breaking Bad is an American crime drama television series created by Vince Gilligan. The show originally aired on AMC for five seasons, from January 20, 2008, to September 29, 2013. It tells the gripping story of Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher struggling with inoperable lung cancer, who joins forces with his former student Jesse Pinkman to manufacture and sell crystallized methamphetamine. Together, they work tirelessly to secure their financial future before Walter's untimely death. The title "Breaking Bad" originates from a Southern phrase meaning chaos unleashed. Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the show was filmed on location throughout the city. Walter White's family includes his wife Skyler and children Flynn and Holly. His sister-in-law Marie Schrader and her husband Hank, a DEA agent, also play significant roles.
