VAMP - Vacuum-actuated Muscle-inspired Pneumatic Structures: A CAD Model Based on Paper Diagrams This is a computer-aided design (CAD) modelled from diagrams found in research papers at the Wyss Institute, Harvard University. The papers can be accessed through the following links: https://wyss.harvard.edu/actuators-inspired-by-muscle/ https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/admt.201600055 Note that the silicone.stl file is not intended for 3D printing, but rather to demonstrate the shape of the final cast mold. The mold_walls and mold_base parts can be printed normally using a 3D printer. However, the mold_top component requires a 36 x 49 x 3mm acrylic plate. If you don't have access to this material, you may attempt to print it as well. To assemble the structure, two silicone halves are cast from the mold and joined together by uncured silicone. The Fusion 360 file is included in the package. When creating the CAD model, I was not familiar with the "pattern" feature, which might have simplified the process.
With this file you will be able to print VAMP pneumatic muscle with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on VAMP pneumatic muscle.
