Valve Index VR gun stock paddle knuckles v2

SUMMARY: This is my version 2 Paddle that allows use of Valve Index 'Knuckles' controllers for the VR gunstock linked here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2057419. The VR gunstock you need to print is thing # 2057419 by Gurgelx. Included is the design file I used (inventor and STP) as well as the two paddle controllers for left and right, so you do not have to mirror them. CHANGE LOG: Poopster Paddle v2 Redesigned prototype paddle for better profile to fit controller, slimmed down profile to allow finger tips to reach capacitive zone. Removed base and designed paddle can be attached to VR gunstock by Gurgelx. Added holes to part for less material and maybe capacitance transfer through palms mashing through to pad. Added finger grip notch at top to help grip paddle in hand. GENERAL THOUGHTS AND REQUEST FOR HELP: Under the capacitive sensors in the Valve Index controller is a pressure pad. Using a 3D printed 'paddle' made to form, you can simulate the grip action in game through squeezing the paddle on the controller's pressure pad. By squeezing the paddle, you hold on to the object in game, as if you were squeezing the controller without the paddle in place. Attached to a VR gunstock, you have a device that feels like a real weapon. A perpendicular to ground back hand simulates a rifle's pistol grip, and a front hand parallel to ground simulates holding a rifle forgrip. CURRENT DESIGN IS A WORK IN PROGRESS!!! I need help designing an actual stock, the design rights are for the community. If you are good at 3D modeling, please take a shot, I want this to be open source for the community! Paddle concepts, could be used in some pretty cool situations. Paddles could be designed for joystick assemblies (No Mans Sky) or the throttle action, a box, a lever, and the paddle for a DIY HOTAS. A whole racing wheel could be turned into a paddle. Paddle baseball bat anybody? Take the yet to be released, soon to be banned, VR game "piñatas attack" to a new level! 1 Maybe capacitive material (aluminum foil tape) could be wrapped around the handles in 3 lines to simulate the finger touching the controller? 2 Honeycomb on the paddle to allow fingers to squeeze through and contact capactive area on controller? 3 Better arrangment for stock bar, convert paddles to work with protube modular assemblies 4 Angling of back controller more perpendicular to ground to correct gun angle when holding gun 1 handed 5 Angling of front controller more parallel to ground to feel like holding forgrip of gun
