VALVE INDEX PRESCRIPTION LENS ADAPTER

Prescription lens adapter for the Valve Index for those who may have previously made Oculus Rift CV1 Prescription Lens Adapter by jegstad. It's designed to take standard single vision lenses for Zenni #550021 frame. The lenses stay securely in place, but sometimes they can fall out if you tilt your head too far back. A light touch of superglue might fix this issue without damaging the lenses. Alternatively, a small piece of tape should also keep them in place. Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to test and improve this design since I've sold my Index headset. However, I've only experienced minor issues with the lenses during extended use, which occurred on just a few occasions. To order your custom prescription lenses: Visit Zennioptical.com and select the stainless steel round eyeglass frames (part #550021). When ordering your IPD (Interpupillary Distance): 1. Adjust the CV1 headset manually until you find your optimal IPD using the RIFT IPD adjustment. 2. For Rift S users, use your measured IPD instead. 3. Quest users should set their IPD to 65mm, aligning with the optical centers of the headset lenses. You can then adjust the physical IPD setting on the headset. Regarding prescription lenses: Please consult an eye doctor for guidance and assistance in obtaining custom prescription lenses that meet your specific needs.
