Valve Index Prescription Lens Adapter
thingiverse
I upgraded my HTC Vive to a Valve Index, but unfortunately, I couldn't use the original design because the specified frame wasn't compatible with my prescription. Fortunately, I had already purchased lenses from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2920352, so I decided to reuse them and remix this design for the Valve Index with a prescription holder for my 43mm Zenni lenses, which are smaller than the original lens design but still large enough to provide a complete field of view without obstruction. I ordered the frames from https://www.zennioptical.com/p/metal-alloy-full-rim-frame-with-spring-hinges/5500?skuId=550021, and they fit perfectly. They are snug enough to hold the lenses but still allow for easy rotation so I can line up the axis properly for astigmatism correction. Using this design, you can order prescription lenses from Zenni for about $30-40 shipped (within a few weeks) and simply pop the lenses out and use them here. This is much nicer than trying to fit glasses inside your HMD - now I can just enjoy the experience!
