Hello again! I'm back with a new more slim design of the Valve Index fans! **I do sell the finished product on my Etsy store! https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1065848597/valve-index-minifan-dual-fans-frunk-mod?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1** <h3>Before you continue please read:</h3> I am not responsible for any damages that could occur from bad wiring/soldering, I use my fan mod daily and I haven't had any issues so please only make this if you're experienced. **Please use 5v fans!** as we're going to be powering them from the USB in the frunk. This design doesn't require any supports, It's all snap-fit. <h3>What's needed:</h3> - 2x 30x30x7mm 5v fan - 1x 2 Position 3P Micro Slide Switch Latching Toggle Switch - 1x USB 2.0 Type A 4 Pin Male Jack End (It has to be this one exactly: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073VHTJ23/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, But if you wish to modify the USB Lock to fit your USB then you're more than welcome to) - 22 Gauge Standed Wire <h3>You can also get:</h3> - Heat Shrink Tubing <h3>Printing:</h3> Layer Thickness: 0.20mm Infill: 15%-20% Infill pattern: Grid/Gyroid MAKE SURE THE MODELS ARE SITTING FLAT ON THE BUILD PLATE! (I didn't orientate them correctly, please note the image for reference.) Print all objects as shown in the Slicer image, No supports needed!. <h3>Assembly:</h3> Once everything is printed, make sure the fitment of the fans is snug inside of the cover. (if it isn't snug you could secure it with a dab of hotglue/superglue) Wire the Fans, Switch and Usb together then push the USB through the hole inside out. Then with the USB lock press it over until the pins poke through the holes. This will make the USB secure and not get pulled out. <h3>Conclusion</h3> And you should be finished! It's quite a lengthy process but great fun to do and you get a product that really helps with longer play sessions in VR.
