Valve Index lens spacer
thingiverse
The Valve Index has a max pupillary distance setting of 70mm. Since my weirdly wide eyes are a little bit farther apart, I designed this little spacer to extend the space between the lenses by a bit. It has actually improved the image for me a lot! It works since the lenses can be manually pushed farther than 70mm, because they are on a spring mechanism, but the slider on the bottom does not cover that range. It moves the max IPD up to around 74. The FreeCAD file is included for personal adjustents and I compiled a few STL files (18, 18.5, 19, 19.5 mm) for a slight increase. The mm count refers to the length of the spacer. TPE or TPU are recommended to hold it better in place and not stress the lenses too much, but PLA, etc. should be fine too.
