Valve Index Lens Cap
prusaprinters

Remixed a lens protector and closed one end to create a lens cap to protect the lenses from dust and light when not in use.

Printed in TPU to prevent scratching of the lens holders and also to create a friction fit. Your tolerances may vary. Just print two for both eyes.

As pictured I actually printed with 3 layers of black PLA before manually swapping to TPU only because I don't have black TPU and didn't want to buy a roll for just this. This way it still blocks light and MIGHT offer better impact resistance but I don't plan on hitting the lenses. Also meant I didn't need to prep my bed for TPU. It's not necessary. Its up to you. If I had black I would have printed pure TPU.

Print instructions

Category: Computer Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: Mk2.5s

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: .2

Infill: 20%

Filament: Yoyi TPU Black
