Valve Index HMD Wall Mount

Human: Modeled from scratch with precision and care, this 3D printed accessory was created using Fusion 360 software. Printed with a minimum of four perimeters and carefully oriented as shown in the model view, it boasts exceptional rigidity. The one displayed is made from PLA material and shows no signs of flexing or breaking. Chamfered edges where the HMD rests were deliberately designed to mirror the curved slope of the device. I recommend applying self-stick foam to prevent scuffing the HMD. This accessory is securely mounted to the wall using two sturdy drywall anchors, available at Home Depot. 7/09/19: Updated photos now accurately reflect the final product and the model that was uploaded. No modifications were made to the original design, so if you've already downloaded it, there's no need to reprint. The initial test print featured a first revision with blue prints, but the final version boasts thinner width rails and a flat chamfer for added padding. I simply failed to update the photos in time, resulting in confusion. The print shown uses Atomic Filament Carbon Black PETG and incorporates this specialized padding, which fits perfectly into the chamfer: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UZFO1U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The foam not only protects the HMD but also keeps it firmly in place, preventing any sliding or movement. 7/09/19 (2): I designed and added a convenient hook to hang the cable coil from. To achieve optimal results, print as oriented with four perimeters and 20% cubic infill. A few dabs of superglue can help prevent the hook from rolling forward. 8/8/19: At your request, I have created a split version of this design. Simply print parts one and two, which connect seamlessly at the middle. Supports are highly recommended for the post end to ensure stability. You may need to lightly sand the surfaces to get them to fit together perfectly. Since printer tolerances can vary, I didn't factor in any specific allowances during the design process. Nail files make excellent sanding pads for small tasks like this. It's also a good idea to superglue the parts together securely.
