Valve Index HMD stand
thingiverse
My take on a (desk/wall)stand for the Valve Index HMD. It has been designed as a (maybe not too beautiful, but functional) modular stand. I still need to design a few components like a holder for the knuckle controllers and a wall mount. So it is a bit of a work-in-progress. The feet are currently designed to prevent tipping over, but these will eventually be swapped out for feet where the controllers can be stored/charged. The top (round) part can be reused with a wall mount (but this is still to be designed). Special instructions/recommendations: *ValveIndex_Feet.stl* Can be printed as is. *ValveIndex_Stand interface.stl* Probably best to print this part on its back. *ValveIndex_HMD holder.stl* Also, print this part on its back, with the open square to the bottom. It does, however, need supports (touching the bed) for the middle section with the hexagons. I've used some neoprene padding on the rounded top for extra grip, otherwise, you might want to print it on a higher resolution (0.1mm or 0.15mm f.i.) and sand it a bit afterwards, for a smooth surface. *ValveIndex_Desk Stand.stl* Print it just as it would stand on your desk. However, it also needs supports (everywhere) and some sanding afterwards. *ValveIndex_Pin.stl* Print 4 of these to secure the components. The holes will probably need some sanding. *Additional notes:* - If you would like to take it apart in future, don't push the pins all the way in. - The top part doesn't have a secure-pin, this is hold in place using friction. If it doesn't grip it, you can try to put some tape between the parts to make it a bit thicker.
