Valve Index Headset Ceiling Mount
prusaprinters
Ceiling or under-the-table mount for Valve Index headset. Designed to be easily 3D-printed based on the measurements from the headset. Recommended 3 perimeters with 2 mm brim to keep the corners from lifting up. 0.15 mm layer height should be good. I printed mine with variable layer height to give load-bearing corners more beef. Attached ready to go 3MF-file and G-code for Prusa i3 MK3S 3D-printer. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: I3 MK3S Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15 Infill: 15% Filament: Something you trust with your headset PETG or ABS Match the ceiling Notes: Recommended to use PETG or ABS instead of PLA, since hook will be under tension and PLA is somewhat elastic, over time your headset might fall! Seam position in 3MF-file and Prusa i3 MK3S G-code file set to be against the ceiling. For white ceiling I recommend white filament, I think colored print I did looks off. How I Designed This =================== I took measurements from my Valve Index headset and drew up the model in Fusion 360. Surfaces in the model are 5mm thick, headest holder shelf is a 30 degree segment of 150 mm circle and tilted up 15 degrees, which matches the tilt in the lower headstrap of the headset. Holder is designed to me bounted into ceiling with a single max 5mm diam. sinkable screw and the headset hang underneath perfectly balanced as it should be. Category: Computer
