Valve Index Frunk Fan
thingiverse
A buddy of mine came up with and built this mod. I just uploaded it here on Thingiverse to share, and he gave me permission to do so. This fan enclosure houses dual fans, an on/off switch, and a USB connector that powers the fan. It can be easily attached to the front of a Valve Index headset to allow for a small amount of airflow through the VR headset. There isn't enough air being moved to dry your eyes, but just enough air is moving through the headset to prevent it from fogging up, and the added benefit is having a tiny breeze within the confines of the headset. I'll post a picture of a Valve Index headset with the fans attached. ***Parts List*** USB connector: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07D1HDJM8/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_nfZ4Db5H1DJ8Y 4mm Switch: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01N6ROMW3/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_ghZ4Db36VRS0M 35mm 5V fan: Digi-Key part number: 259-1574-ND (it's expensive, but others should work too and may be a tad noisy) https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/sunon-fans/MC35100V2-000U-A99/259-1574-ND/2757784
