By popular demand, a wall mount for the Valve Index "knuckles" controllers has been created. Four versions of the mount have been designed, each offering unique features that cater to different user preferences. Despite their differences, all four mounts are expected to perform flawlessly, providing users with options to suit their needs. The recommended order of preference is as follows: 1. **Screws Above**: This version is highly recommended and requires printing the mount with the bottom facing down on the build plate. High-quality controller slots can be achieved without supports. However, due to the angle, it may be challenging to insert the middle screw, but this is optional for added strength. 2. **Max Strength**: This design boasts exceptional strength, thanks to its four screws. Nevertheless, the need for supports is a significant drawback. Printing orientation is at the user's discretion, although printing in the same orientation as the "Screws Above" version is recommended to maintain support-free controller slots. 3. **Screws Below**: As an aesthetic alternative to the "Screws Above" design, this variant offers a lower profile while still utilizing four screws. Unfortunately, it also requires supports. Printing orientation can be chosen freely, but printing in the same orientation as the "Screws Above" version is suggested to keep controller slots support-free. 4. **Screws Middle**: This minimalist design features only two screw holes and no plates above or below the mount area. Although M6 screws are strong enough to support the controllers, users should be aware that it may be extremely difficult to secure them due to the tight angle. A helpful tip: Using a drop of hot glue to secure magnetic release cables in charging ports is highly recommended. This method is easily removable and keeps the cables snugly locked in place.
