Valve Index Controller (Knuckles) Attachment Adapter

Valve Index Controller (Knuckles) Attachment Adapter

This adapter makes it simple to attach to the Valve Index's controller (Knuckles). It is meant to serve as a foundation for other designs, rather than providing practical value itself. I plan to upload a magnet-based attachment adapter built on top of it in the future, but only when needed, so it may take some time. A 0.2 mm clearance was used, which works well on my printer but might not provide the desired fit on others, so be gentle to avoid scratching and round over all edges with a file. Print in the orientation shown in the included picture. The nose of the adapter's "boot" tip has been modeled with an internal angle steep enough that it should not require support, so block supports there as they would be difficult to remove from such an enclosed area. The adapter is held on by the Knuckle's strap adjustment button. Feed the end of the strap's cord through the appropriate hole and then press the strap button to slide the adapter on. The button has some side-to-side wiggle, so make sure it has aligned properly with the hole. Using a credit card from the edge works well to push it into place. This should result in the adapter being solid while still allowing the strap adjustment to work properly.
