If you want to cover the valve of a Sperian/Honeywell N1125 M/L Saf-T-Fit Plus N95 respirator mask, this is a press fit over the valve. Because there are only a couple millimeters of plastic to grab onto, It's a tight fit. Because of this, I'd consider removal likely to be destructive to the respirator (i.e., do it when you're ready to discard it). This respirator never was designed for source control. Modifications to make it a source control device might compromise the N95 filtration. In particular, the flap on valved respirators relies on negative pressure to close, and this cap will definitely compromise negative pressure around the valve. Another respirator (the 3M 8511) has a NIOSH-approved solution for modification for source control, which is literally "put (a specific model of 3M) duct tape over the valve on the inside": https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/1951716O/3m-particulate-respirator-8511-with-3m-multi-use-duct-tape-ui.pdf. In the pictures shown, I have both tape on the inside, and the valve cover on the outside (which is probably acting mostly as a visible indicator of modification at that point). This is untested with this respirator, but it has been tested on the 8511. Inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4383612 cover for the 3M 8511
