Vallis Schröteri (Schroter's Valley) on the Moon Schroter's Valley, a prominent geographical feature, is often referred to as Valed on a continental rise. This rise is also sometimes called the Aristarchus plateau and is surrounded by the vast Oceanus Procellarum to the south and west. The Mare Imbrium lies to the northwest of this unique geological formation. At the southern edge of Schroter's Valley, two notable craters, Aristarchus and Herodotus, can be found.
