This model looks fantastic on display, either mounted in a frame or simply hanging from the wall. The STL file measures 255mm x 177mm x 10mm, so be sure to scale down both X and Y dimensions to fit your print bed, and adjust Z for thickness (the printed object in the photos is 190mm x 132mm x 1.2mm). To help you get started with printing, I've attached a Simplify3D factory file for the print shown in the images. Printer Settings Printer: Dremel 3D Idea Builder Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3mm, 2 top layers, 2 bottom layers, 2 perimeters Infill: 100% Notes: I recommend enabling the "Allow gap fill when necessary" setting in Simplify3D to avoid gaps between thin walls. How I Designed This Model Step 1 Downloaded a .jpg image from Google. Step 2 Used Gimp to select the black areas of the image, create a path, and export it as an .svg file. Step 3 Imported the .svg into Autodesk Fusion 360 as a sketch, extruded it 10mm, selected the body, and saved it as an STL file. I know using Fusion 360 for this project may be overkill, but I appreciate its level of control when creating extruded objects compared to other 2D-to-3D tools like Shapeways.
