My 8-year-old daughter Violet and I spent a fun Sunday afternoon crafting this adorable little figurine together. She drew the initial sketch, and I assisted her in bringing it to life using Rhino software. We printed the design at an impressive 5 inches tall. The inspiration behind this creation stems from a book on Kawaii figure styles that she read, but Violet assures me that Valentina isn't a doll or model of any specific character. I'm including a copy of the original Rhino file to help facilitate remixing and inspire new ideas! Violet's creative story unfolds as follows: Valentina is a princess from Japan who dreams of becoming a skilled magic user. However, her parents are opposed to this idea. One of Valentina's remarkable abilities is the power of flight, which she uses to sneak out of her room at night when she's supposed to be asleep. Her name, Valentina, holds special significance – she was born on Valentine's Day.
