Vajra (Dorje)

Vajra (Dorje)

This is a Buddhist Vajra, a symbol that gets placed on an altar. It prints out in two separate pieces and gets welded (or glued) together. I printed this out using Biofila Silk (available at cubicity.com for U.S.-based makers). The Silk filament gives a pearlescent finish and looks very noble. You could also print with metal fill, wood fill, Biofila linen, etc. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 4 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 33% Post-Printing Friction weld together using a Dremel. The two parts are designed so that, once put together, there are four 3.5mm holes that can be used to plug weld the two parts together. Place a piece of filament in a Dremel and use it to friction weld. Or use epoxy or your preferred adhesive.
