DIY vinyl record cleaner. Found an old Sony turntable where I salvaged the platter. Bearing was a worn out Michell bearing, and I used a geared motor from an IBM tape library, but I suspect a wiper motor from a car might work as well.Built into a wooden base that holds motor, tray for sucked up fluids and vacuum attachment. Uses an ordinary household vacuum, but could easily be built in. Thought I would make a 3D printable arm, that could easily be used in a DIY record cleaner. I used plush strips, but I suspect Pro-Ject strips should work perfectly as well. Record rests on small rubber discs, normally used to dampen closing of drawers and cabinets.
