Vacuum Tube Sockets
thingiverse
Few months ago I started building the excellent vacuum tube tester Sussex, and I needed some common vacuum tube sockets. I found many of them online but they're pricey, so I decided to 3D print them. For B7G, B8A, B9A & B9D pins, I used 2mm diameter brass tubing sliced and cut to length, 11mm for B7G, B8A, B9A sockets and 13mm for B9D socket. I also crimped & soldered copper wire onto the tubing: 0.8mm for B7G, B8A, B9A sockets and 1mm for B9D socket. For K8A, I used 4mm diameter brass tubing cut at 15mm and soldered on with a 1.5 mm copper wire. Being used on a vacuum tube tester and on relatively short periods of time shouldn't pose any problem for ABS.
