vacuum robot Vorwerk kobold VR200 / Neato turret extension
thingiverse
A vacuum robot is an awesome thing and ours is super thin, it can even slide under the couch easily. Unfortunately, it won't find its way out once it's stuck, so I had to design an extension for the turret. The safety switch will now tell it to turn around before it gets under the couch. Only one other person owns the same robot and they have the same problem, so this fix seems like a really useful thing. The turret extension is available in four different heights: 10mm, 15mm, 25mm, and 35mm. Most people will be happy with either the 10mm or 15mm version. To attach the extension to your robot, you'll need one short M3 screw, a washer, and a nut. Have fun! If you print it and it works as expected, please share a photo. Thanks for your help! ~Update: I added a 20mm version with a hole to make assembly much easier. Now you can also print a hex key if you don't have one already. This is really helpful if you're printing this thing for someone who doesn't own any tools. The hex key works great after some sanding, but the ball head didn't turn out well when printed in low resolution. You can simply cut it off with a knife if you need to. ~Update 2: The extension works amazingly well, and with the 15mm version, our robot almost never gets stuck anywhere anymore.
