Vacuum Hose Pivoting Adapter
cults3d
I needed to utilize my vacuum cleaner for a straightforward dust removal operation. I purchased 4 meters of the most affordable vacuum hose and designed this adapter to enable it to fit seamlessly into my saw. The key feature of this adapter is its ability to allow the hose to pivot freely around the saw as I move the saw along the cut path. Printing Tips To use it effectively, you need to print three separate components: - A threaded insert that should be screwed onto the hose - A threaded cap that screws onto the threaded insert - A tip that is inserted into the power tool The threaded cap and the tip can be printed with no support required. I have attached two versions of the threaded insert, one plain and one with embedded support, so you don't need to configure any support inside the slicer. The threaded insert provides a rather tight fit for my hose. If it is too tight for you, you can scale all parts slightly or use the attached OpenSCAD file and modify the part diameter yourself. Acknowledgments I relied heavily on the exceptional thread library by Dan Kirshner.
