This device is engineered to attach a regular 1 1/4 vacuum nozzle to any flat surface, such as a panel or lid. I've successfully mounted it on top of a big bucket to function as a siphon and efficiently empty water from storage tanks. When installing it, the projecting portion goes inside the container to safeguard it. A collar or ring is included to secure items from both sides, thereby minimizing leaks effectively.
