Vacuum Hand Pump
thingiverse
After sitting idle in storage for a couple of years, my inkjet printer's continuous ink tubes were plagued by air bubbles that needed to be removed via the vacuum method. This compact pump proved more than capable of doing the job in a single stroke. The printed components include a nozzle, plunger, rear guide, and handle. In addition to these parts, you will also require a pair of O-rings (for the nozzle and plunger), some 6.35mm or 1/4-inch aluminum rod, and DN20 PVC water pipe. I obtained all of these materials from Bunnings, making it relatively easy for anyone to do the same. To assemble the parts, quick-set epoxy is used, while a light spray of dry lube prior to use helps minimize friction.
