Vacuum Former Sheet
prusaprinters

Here is a quick source of small (6" x 6") sheets of material for a quick prototype if you can't get material locally or want to try forming a sheet from a specialty material. I prefer using a 0.8mm nozzle for quicker printing. But a sheet still takes about 1 hour.

I have included my test buck, a mini version of a life mask of Abraham Lincoln. I printed mine in PLA with a 0.3 mm variable layer height and a 0.8mm nozzle. The full model is available from the Smithsonian Institute here: https://3d.si.edu/object/3d/abraham-lincoln:2b4a081a-9ea1-4b0c-b1c3-6f5389da3244
