Vacuum Ejector
thingiverse
This is a high-performance vacuum ejector specifically engineered for converting compressed air into instant vacuum generation. A major advantage of this type of vacuum creation is its rapid onset when compressed air is applied, immediately initiating vacuum production. Additionally, it effectively handles contaminants within the vacuum flow. As long as the contaminants entering through the vacuum port are smaller than the mixing tube diameter (3mm in this instance), the ejector will remain unobstructed. The input port injects compressed air that exhausts out of the output port. Air within the mixing chamber is swept up by the airflow and a vacuum pressure develops. I have measured 18.5 inches of mercury (-9PSI) on the vacuum port with zero flow present. Unfortunately, without a flow gauge, I am unable to assess efficiency or flow rates when the input is open. Graphs illustrating the relationship between input pressure and achieved vacuum are included. Both the compressed air inlet and vacuum ports are designed to be tapped using a 1/4" NPT thread. The wall taper matches this thread perfectly, allowing for easy connection to standard air fittings.
