This innovative project brings a futuristic concept to life by seamlessly integrating a vacuum cleaner system into a quadcopter. The design is part of Project07 in IND104, taught by Professor Patty Johnson at Syracuse University in 2016. Although this model is not designed for actual flight, it effectively showcases the conceptual design aspect. Inside, a space is allocated for eight AA batteries that can power the propellers, making it an exciting feature to behold. The electrical wires run through "tunnels" connecting the main body and propellers. A switch located on top controls the power supply to the propellers. The .stl extension is free for Sketchup users. Design Process: The design process was quite personal, as I self-taught myself in Sketchup and calculated model sizes with limited resources and time constraints during the final weeks of the course. Despite these challenges, my work paid off positively, contributing to a higher grade than expected. I completed and printed the model in April 2016, utilizing makerbot printers under normal settings. I extend gratitude to SU ITS Makerspace's tech support for their assistance.
