Driven by a desire to easily switch between different woodworking equipment, I created this project to connect flexible vacuum cleaner hoses to a convenient port. This allows me to quickly swap between various tools simply by screwing or unscrewing different hoses. I am grateful to CrisHerman for helping modify his design, which I integrated into my own project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1057932 The system utilizes standard 1.25-inch vacuum cleaner hose available in bulk on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Generic-Black-1-1-4-X-50-Vacuum-Cleaner-Hose-/190535342430. This hose connector consists of five key components: 1) Vacuum Cuff (stl file): Attach the vacuum hose to this left-handed cuff before screwing it onto the system. 2) Vacuum Sleeve (stl file): Secure the cuff and hose in place with this component, attaching it to the lid of the connector. 3) Vacuum Thru Hole Ring (stl file): Connect the ring through the hole on the lid, linking the sleeve. Note: four vertical holes allow for optional M3 Nutsert attachment to support various hose designs (if not using the sleeve in this design). 4) Vacuum Lid With Hole (stl file): Attach this screw-in component onto the vacuum connector plate A. 5) Vacuum Connector Plate A (stl file): Print one of these plates, allowing quick connections or releases between the vacuum and other tools. To extend versatility, I also included a cap-style connector: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1057932/vacuum_lid.stl. Use this to block unused connections within your workshop. Regarding print settings: * Avoid rafts to prevent obstruction * Exclude supports as they interfere with holes and threads * Opt for a 0.2 resolution and 20% infill
