Vacuum Chuck For Lathe
thingiverse
Hello! I've been needing a vacuum chuck for my lathe for quite some time now, but I didn't want to spend over $100 on one. Plus, making one on the lathe relied too heavily on silicone for me to feel confident in its durability. Here's a printable design that you can use if you have a 1-inch spindle. If not, just leave a comment and I'll see about modifying it for your specific needs. I didn't include a pre-drilled hole because different rods come in various sizes, so you're free to drill one that suits your needs or simply insert the rod into the CAD model. The .sldprt file is available here as well. By the way, some folks like to use plunger heads for improved suction performance.
