This adapter is designed to connect a 1 1/4" flexible vacuum hose - in this case, one from a Shop Vac - directly to the discharge port of a DeWalt Compound Mitre Saw. Testing has not been conducted on other tools. The adapter boasts a 40.3mm throat on its male end, which internally tapers down to 37.7mm over an impressive 38mm length, ensuring a secure friction fit with the saw's end. Meanwhile, the female end of the adapter externally tapers from 32.7mm to 34.6mm over a span of 30mm. The vacuum hose simply slips over this end, also secured by a snug friction fit.
