This is a vacuum adapter designed to remove air from ziploc bags for vacuum sealing filament. Removing as much air as possible enables the desiccant to reduce moisture content in the filament and surrounding bag more effectively. This adapter fits 30mm hose sizes, making it compatible with many vacuums, including the Black & Decker Flex portable vacuum. It's particularly useful for nylon and other flexible filaments that absorb moisture rapidly. After removing air from the bag and filament, I secure them in place using a rubber band to prevent reabsorption of air.
