Update: 10/28/2017 -I've deprecatated my original adapter, and you're best off using the one inspired by peteesen21. Still, I'm keeping the original Freecad file on hand for learning purposes, so feel free to take a look if you need it. As it turns out, my old design still works like a charm, but if you need to print another copy, print adapter-petesv2.stl instead. I came across the remix by peteesen21, and it really stood out to me - his awesome design is sure to keep the adapter from detaching, which was a major concern of mine, even after many printings. Update: 9/30/2014 I had gotten fed up with cleaning my dust bag, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and made my own vacuum attachment for my DeWalt sander. To be honest, I'm still wondering why they chose such a small bag - the thing fills up fast! This adapter is designed to work with other DeWalt orbital sanders/tools that feature a standard 2.25-inch outlet. Features: -thick and durable, at around 3-4mm to withstand all sorts of extended use -tapered outlet that makes it easier to get a grip on your hose Printer settings: -infll density is set at around 45% for optimal support -layers are printed at a thickness of .2 for a high level of detail
