Vaccuum Pressure Electrical Feedthrough Jig
thingiverse
Important notes: 1. NPT should NOT be sealed with PTFE tape if you want a good vacuum. Either green (penetrating) thread sealant epoxy or vacuum grease is best. Alternatively liquid PTFE maybe. 2. for 6 conductors, 2x12 gauge, 4x20 gauge. 3. designed for SLA, but might work FDM idk I preheated my fitting with a propane torch before adding epoxy by warm syringe, I also hit it rapidly with the torch in the jig as needed to help the epoxy gap fill. See pictures for detail on fixturing. To remove the fixture, just smash her up with a hammer. Vacuum tight electrical feedthroughs are expensive and never have as many/size conductors as I want. I saw the construction of epoxy filled ones and thought, yeah I can definitely make one of those. If you want a good seal, thin the epoxy you use with heat, and use either solid core or stranded that has been filled (very important it's full penetration) with solder. I used Hysol 1C but such high quality epoxy is probably not necessary for this application anyway.
