Vaccum attachment holder

A replacement part for the factory supplied attachment holder that failed to meet my expectations was created. It was designed specifically for a Shark Lift-Away Deluxe vacuum, and I am unsure if it would be compatible with any other Shark vacuums. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Yes Resolution: .4 mm nozzle Infill: 20% Notes: I used a brim instead of rafting, which may not be necessary for more experienced printers or users. My print time was approximately 8 hours, but I am new to the world of 3D printing and am still learning how to optimize my printer's performance. **Version 2 of this design utilized a skirt to prime the heads before printing. I used PLA filament from ORB POLYMER and have since switched to ideamaker for my slicer. The following settings were employed: Infill density: 20% Shells: 2 Layer height: .2 mm Extrusion width: .42 Default print speed: 40 mm/s First layer height: .3 mm First layer speed: 15 mm/s (ensures better bed adhesion) Top & bottom fill layers: 5 Support speed: 40 mm/s Vertical top & down layers: 1 Bed temp: 50 C Extruder temp: 200 C Retraction enabled (some printers may function well without this) Z hop enabled: .2 mm Any settings not mentioned here are mostly default settings. How I Designed This Solid Works I used Solid works to design the piece. The original factory attachment that came with my Shark Lift-Away Deluxe vacuum only held 2 of the 4 attachments, so I modeled this replacement part after it. There was an issue with the protrusion on the main piece (purple area) as I made the walls too thin. I have since modified this to try and fix this problem. Version 2 eliminates the second post system and instead uses a hole to hold the long extension tube, allowing for another attachment to be inserted into the tube. This results in a much better hold for the extension tube, which under version 1 was prone to falling off due to the weight of the tube and constant movement of the vacuum. I also moved the post holders higher on the vacuum ring so that more of the part touches the build plate and should require less supports. The middle post is a solid piece. I was trying to eliminate the use of posts running in the center to support the top layer of the post, but it may use too much filament and am considering making it hollow like in version 1. Version 1 Version 2 Vacuum Attachment Holder This is designed for my Shark Lift-Away Deluxe vacuum. I don't know if this will fit other brands of Shark vacuums. The original holder that came with it only held 2 of the 4 attachments, so I designed this to hold all 4 at once. Version 2 is a better fit in my opinion and definitely holds the longer extension tube much better.
