Them vacuum bags are great for storing filament, but its sometimes hard to get the pump to start sucking as you are pressing down on the bag. The little ruff side of the bag gets squashed and the suctions doesn't start. I place these in the bag and position them at the valve. I sometimes glue them (smooth side to the valve) on the inside of the bag to keep them in place. This way I can press firmly down on the pump and it sucks the air out easily.
