V8 Emblem / Badge

V8 Emblem / Badge

thingiverse

A simple "V8" emblem loosely based on the one that appeared on Daimler 2.5l V8 cars in the 1960s (built by Jaguar, based on their Mk2 model). The photographs include an example of the original chromed metal badge from the boot lid of these cars. The original is quite small (c.4cm tall) and with 'squared off' figure 8.The version here simply uses circles to form the '8'. The join at the base of the 'V' is a bit untidy too. Looks pretty good overall though and may, obviously, be scaled to suit. Generated in OpenSCAD, so easily modified & improved
