V6 hot end c clamp mod to hold 12mm proxy sensor
thingiverse
I purchased a full steel X carriage of Chinese origin. It comes with multiple setup options for your extruder. I opted to go with a Bowden-style configuration using a Mk8 cheap extruder kit, which features a yellow design. In addition, I acquired a low-cost Vulcan hotend and a long heat break designed for 1.75mm filament. To secure the heatbreak, I screwed it into the tapped 6mm hole while leaving the hotend hole open. I then added a lock underneath and a hot end body on top to further secure the setup, making it possible to install the Bowden tube in place. This modification enabled me to increase Z travel by approximately one inch. Moreover, I redesigned the V6 clamp to accommodate the proxy sensor for automatic bed leveling.
