This engine features a 90-degree angle between its Vs and employs a shared crank pin in a common design. Originally used by Buick, it has since been utilized by various manufacturers including Maserati's Citroen SM, the PRV V6, Rover KV6 (2.0- and 2.5-litre), Honda C engine, Chevrolet's 4.3 L Vortec 4300, Chrysler's 3.9 L Magnum V6, and 3.7 L PowerTech V6. Notably, a 90° V6 can be easily derived from an existing V8 design by removing two cylinders, although this may result in a wider, more vibration-prone engine compared to a 60° V6.
